About
In commemoration of Holocaust Survivor Day, join us at Holocaust Museum LA to hear Henry Slucki share his story of survival. Henry Slucki was born in 1934 in Paris, France. After Nazi Germany's initial occupation of France, Henry and his family fled to the free zone in the south of France. After Nazi Germany invaded the free zone in 1942, Henry's parents were forced to make the difficult decision to part with him for his own safet and secured a spot for him to the United States as part of Eleanor Roosevelt's initiative to save refugee children. After the war, Henry moved to Los Angeles and became a professor of behavioral sciences.
