This year's theme of “Beyond Liberation” is especially poignant for the Los Angeles community as we reflect upon what it means to rebuild, both through the lens of the Holocaust and the recent fires that devastated our city.
Featured speakers include:
Survivor Erika Fabian
U.S. Representative Laura Friedman Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky
Israeli-American artist Tomer Peretz and Holocaust survivor and sculptor Gabriella Karin will debut an original canvas to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation. Prior to the ceremony, event attendees are invited contribute to this public artwork about what it means to persist and flourish.
